Currently, ONU provides a liberal arts education allowing us to fully educate each student. The motto of Olivet is to provide each student with an “education with a Christian mission.” The public relations & strategic communication major takes that a step further to focus on leading PR pedagogy with a heavy emphasis on experiential learning opportunities while allowing students to grow professionally and personally within their faith; Inspired Strategies Agency is an example of a great opportunity for experiential learning that is offered here in the Communication Department.

General Education Courses required for graduation include:

  • 3 Approved Stewardship Course*
  • 3 ENGL 109 College Writing I

  • 3 HIST 200 Western Civilization
  • 3 Approved Social Science Course*
  • 6 Approved Humanities Courses*
    • Select 3 hours from two different areas: Fine Arts, Literature, Philosophy, Modern Languages
  • 3-8 Elementary Foreign Language I and II OR approved International Culture courses
  • 3 MATH 103 or higher math
  • Choose one Physical Science and one Biological Science – one must include a lab*
